BAM Broadcast Leader of Tomorrow

The BAM board feels strongly that the future broadcast stars of tomorrow are the people who will provide the leadership and vision necessary to take our industry into the next generation.

The criteria for this award requires the nominee to have been full-time in the broadcast business for more than 2 years and less than 5 years. This person can be on either side of the microphone or camera, behind the scenes or in front. Please note that duplicate nominations will not be considered in our process, only one submission per nominee is allowed.

The BAM Board of Directors is extremely pleased to be able to offer you an opportunity to nominate someone you feel may be deserving of this award, your deadline for nominations is May 30, 2008.

2007 Broadcaster of Tomorrow


Tara Bell (presented by Ken Weibe)

Tara has coached minor girls hockey, was a Team Coach in the 2007 Manitoba Winter Games in Beausejour, a member of the mission staff with responsibility for Ringette and Squash in the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, and a volunteer with the IIHF world women's in Manitoba serving as a dressing room assistant and host for Team China. Tara is also the incoming President of the Altona Curling Club, a volunteer fish fryer at the monthly fish fry and is also on the entertainment committee for the Manitoba Sunflower Festival. Tara has flown the CFAM - Golden West Radio flag in this capacity and has also combined her involvement in the above with onair reports and interviews with Jennifer Botteril Cindy Klassen, and others. Tara and co-host Steve Fehr have also established the mid-day and PM drive show as an entertaining and informative addition to the morning show. Tara's responsibilities also include training and scheduling of the junior and part-time announcers.
